After having 4 children in under 3 years, I then went on to lose half my body weight in under a year—without fad diets or quick fixes. Instead, I transformed my mindset, built lasting habits, and changed my life for good.
Just four months after reaching my goal, I ran the 2024 London Marathon for BabyLifeline, a cause close to my heart—proof that sustainable change leads to incredible possibilities.
Now, I want to share what I've learned and help others to do the same.

MY STORY
For years, I tried every diet out there—losing weight, gaining it back, and feeling stuck in a cycle that never lasted. The real change came when I stopped chasing quick fixes and focused on transforming my mindset around food, exercise, and life itself.
But my journey goes far deeper than weight loss...
I’ve lived with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) for as long as I can remember. Rituals ruled my life—repeating actions to keep my family “safe.” After a traumatic car accident in 2010, my mental health spiraled. I blamed myself for everything, leading to years in psychiatric units, self-harm, and multiple suicide attempts. In 2013, I reached my lowest point. When I woke up in the hospital after nearly ending my life, something shifted. I chose to fight.
Recovery wasn’t instant, but I built a foundation that saved me: daily routines, nourishing my body, exercising, gratitude, and most importantly, setting goals. Step by step, I rebuilt my life—volunteering, studying, and eventually qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse in 2018.
Then came my next challenge: losing half my body weight in under a year—not through fad diets, but through sustainable change. Just four months later, I ran the 2024 London Marathon. Now, I’m chasing my biggest goal yet: completing an Ironman Triathlon in 2025.
